DON ROAD SPORTING COMPLEX

Public BBQ

Don Road Sporting Complex features a multi-use recreation area centered on a scenic lake attracting dog walkers, families, and sports enthusiasts. The lake circuit offers pleasant walking, though gravel surfaces challenge wheelchairs. Off-leash dog areas draw regular visitors, though the unfenced perimeter requires confident recall. Sports facilities include football and soccer ovals, plus netball courts doubling as skating surfaces. BBQ facilities exist but maintenance varies. Public toilets service the grounds. Sunday mornings feature horse activity, while ducks and waterbirds populate the lake. The complex lacks adequate undercover areas. Outdoor exercise equipment and expansive grassy spaces complement the Yarra Ranges Council-maintained grounds.
